Beach Pail Cake

Beach Pail Cake

Simply Wow! It took me a few minutes to realize this was a cake – the details are incredible. The sand, the shells, the artwork on the pail are all sculpted to fine detail.

I can imagine a child's eyes when getting this cake for their birthday or an adult's face bringing them back to their childhood memories.

I would love to see someone tackle an entire table of beach themed desserts for a party – now that would be something to marvel! Anyone seen one, please do share with me if you have.

Beautiful work by artist and baker Cecile Gady!

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Cecile Gady of Cakework combined a background in sculpture with a natural gift for baking. As a result, her San Francisco bakery creates wedding and specialty cakes that are as delicious as they are gorgeous. Cakework cakes are wrapped in a veneer of tinted white chocolate, dark chocolate, or poured ganache glaze to create one-of-a-kind designs. As a delectable finish, each cake is decorated with delicate, hand-sculpted chocolate flowers, hand-blown sugar bubbles, and more.
