The “Cotoletta alla Milanese” is one of the most famous dishes in the world. It is prepared also in Spain, Portugal and in the whole of Latin America under the name “Milanesa”. In France is called “Milanaise” and in English “Breaded Veal (or Chicken) Cutlet.” In all German-speaking countries, it is called “Wiener Schnitzel.” There has always been a strong rivalry between the people from Milan, like me, and the people from Vienna. Each one claiming paternity of this dish, but Milan eventually won the war.
